Catherine started working with stained glass in 1992. She enjoys creating panels for homes to add warmth and color to a room. Catherine also works with warm glass creating pictures in glass and abstract designs for wall hangings. Her passion for the last three years has been in fusing glass with dichroic glass creating unique and unusual pieces that she later wraps in gold-filled and sterling silver wire and fine silver. Patti Leota Genack

I started making beads in 1997 with the idea that I would be using them as components in my mixed media sculptures. Somehow I got distracted away from the idea of components and started to make little sculptures out of glass that were also beads.

I have a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Oregon in Printmaking. My love was lithography. I started drawing life size figurative charcoals upon moving to Denver since I no longer had access to a printing press. I'm something of a pack rat which developed into making mixed media sculptures in addition to drawing and painting. It wasn't much of a leap for me to start making sculptural beads. I started with abstract beads with rings and then ruffles and soon I was making glass horse beads. Not a huge stretch of my imagination since I live in a small ranching community in the Wet Mountains of Colorado.
Since those initial forays into sculptural beadmaking I've expanded my "Western" line of beads to include cowboy boots, cowgirls in chaps, cowboy hats and dias de los muertos Catrinas. I am also involved with numerous Rock Art Associations in the West and that interest inspired me to make my petroglyph beads.
You can find my beads via www.glasshorseranch.com or www.whimwhambeads.com  I travel to shows about once a month across the western states. My schedule and galleries representing my work can be found on my web-site.

Maggie Heard - Glassique

Maggie has nourished her lifelong love of art, design and beauty in a variety of mediums. Glass became her main focus in 1998, starting with stained glass and quickly evolving into fused glass. In 2000, she left the rat race of corporate America to concentrate her energies on the creation of art glass and started her own studio, Glassique. “I like to express my ideas through shape and color and the interplay of light brings the pieces alive. I have a contemporary style, geometric, linear, with just a touch of whimsy!”

Maggie’s work is displayed in Tennyson Gallery at 44th and Tennyson. As an active member of Glass Artists’ Fellowship, she participates in their annual exhibit “Glass at the Gardens” at Denver Botanic Gardens and the annual holiday show at Echter’s Gardens.

Teresa Krage

I have loved art as far back as I can remember. When my friends went to summer camp, I went to art classes and loved it! After graduating college with a major in telecommunications and a minor in Art, it took me many years to decide which medium to concentrate my creativity in. I did animation, 2D/3D graphic art, pastels, watercolors, ceramics and a bit of jewelry making. But when I discovered carved and fused glass. I knew that was my calling. I have studied glass at Corning in Elmira, NY and at Bullseye in Portland Oregon.Through the years I have expanded my knowledge and love of glass through classes with Roger Thomas, Linda Either, Gerry Newcomb, Denise Stillwaggon Leone and Katherine Newell. My style is to use multiple layers of glass to create a three dimensional look. This is very challenging for me because it is never the same, which makes each piece unique. Although painting glass landscapes is my favorite in fusing glass, I have fallen in love with creating glass sculptures in a form called kiln casting. My goal is to have people enjoy glass art as much as I do. My works are exhibited at Pismo Cherry Creek Gallery, Denver Colorado, Kane Marie in Virginia Beach, VA,  Fox Ridge in Breckenridge, CO and Duir Designs in Glenwood Springs, CO.

Kathleen Krucoff - Krucoff Studios

My love of glass started during my childhood with my fascination of the beautiful stained glass windows in the churches of my hometown of Freeport, IL.  My journey into the wonderful world of creating beauty with glass began in 1982 while I was living in Carrollton, TX.  I had the opportunity to learn the technique of making stained glass windows from Kate Loomiller.  Kate & I reconnected through our membership with Glass Artist Fellowship, discovering that both of us currently live in the beautiful state of Colorado.I have been mentored by another Colorado glass artist, Deb Steddom of Manitou Springs, who encouranged me to create my own designs.  Today, my designs come primarily from my husband's photography of nature. I work in copper foil and lead, sometimes combining both in a piece when the design calls for it.

Recently, I entered into the world of warm glass work.  Initially, I created cabochons for jewelry, primarily using Dichroic glass, which I feel is a must for my jewelry pieces.  Expanding on this process, I wire wrap these cabochons, in either Sterling Silver or 14 kt. Gold Filled wire creating genuinely unique and distinctive pendants.

My kiln work also includes items for home and office décor, such as plates, bowls, votives, and vases.  My latest series of work is called "The Little Tree Collection".  These pieces are somewhat abstract and vary in shape, size, and color.

In June of 2008, I have my first gallery representation at Second Street Art Market in historic downtown Monument, CO.  I am thrilled to be one of thier artists.

I have a B.S. in Computer Science and consider myself a 'geek' by day, artist by night and weekends.

Delcia Litt leads an exciting and colorful life as the principle designer and creator for  Mountain Top Stained Glass.  She is a nationally recognized  contemporary fine art glass mosaicist creating glass art since 1985. Her original focus was traditionally constructed Tiffany style windows and lamps and these are still available through commission work only. Over the years her glass art studies have taken her around the country and abroad. Learning the ancient art of mosaics in Ravenna Italy was her most adventurous project, although cutting marble and granite just isn't her style the overall understanding of this ancient art form was invaluable.

Her current studio is located high in the aspen trees of the Colorado Mountains in South Park at 9300'. She categorizes  her work as an adventure in color and glass and invites the viewer to interact with each piece in that they are an adventure in the ever changing light. The technique combines four disciplines of collage, stained glass, mosaic, and resin.

Each piece is an original hand crafted design. Typically, no patterns are used unless it is a commission or a representation picture in glass. Otherwise, the art is created as she go's. The artwork is  embellished with special treasures either found in nature or created in Delcia's studio. Often times fused dichroic pieces are added to enhance the artwork. These are not your ordinary Saturday afternoon mosaics. They require many days of planning, designing and construction. There are no oyster chips or rough glass edges only a perfectly executed collage.  The finished projects often times appear completely fused together when finished in a resin; further adding to her modern mosaic style.

Current interests for Delcia has recently moved her towards fused glass mosaics. Instead of hanging the traditional style mosaic on the wall this new style will hang in a window.  Delcia  looks forward to adding a new chapter to her art resume by designing and creating fused glass mosaic windows.

Please visit her portfolio website www.mountaintopstainedglass.com and www.delcialitt.etsy.com to purchase items.

In the Fall of 2007, she was chosen to serve as Artist in Residence at Mesa Verde Nat'l Park, where she produced a large panel which hangs in the park museum bldg.

In 2006 she was chosen to be one of 9 local artists for the Bear Totem Project of the San Luis Valley.  Her life-sized mosaic grizzly  bear was purchased at  the auction by supporters of Adams State College.

I”m presently displaying a piece entitled "Leda" at the "Artists of the San Luis Valley" Art Exhibit at the Republic Plaza in downtown Denver.

"Even as a child I was facinated with the richness created by light flowing through colored glass.  I wanted to be able to work in that medium, with that magical palette."

Sue Palmer - Light Dance

I'm an outdoor person, having grown up in California and Wyoming. Denver is now my home. I'm a Medical Technologist with a degree in Microbiology. In 1996, while restoring my older home, I began experimenting with stained glass. After filling my home and garden with glass, I was addicted! I started fusing glass in 1997, started my own studio, Light Dance, and began winning prizes for my creations. Working from my own photographs, my pieces reflect my interests in nature, hiking, skiing and gardening. I enjoy designing custom stained glass windows in lead or copper foil. Using combinations of techniques in glass mosaics, fusing, slumping and enameling also intrigue me. A line of my fused glass jewelry is shown in various galleries. I have been a member of the Glass Artist Fellowship for 3 years.
